Zial Holsteins, breeders since 1960.

ZIAL HOLSTEINS includes two farms owned by Zilocchi family. The first farm – known as “Bertoletta” – was established in 1960 in Pegognaga town, and immediately joined the Italian Friesian herd book.

The second cattery called “Fondo Barilla” was bought in 1998, twenty kilometers far away from the other one. The companies are conducted by 3 shareholders through a careful division of responsibilities: Corrado for the livestock management, Massimo for the countryside activities and agricultural machinery, Mauro for bureaucracy and energetic production (biogas, photovoltaic). The milk produced in the two farms is entirely destined for the Parmigiano-Reggiano DOP cheese production.
